We loved the traditional Japanese style of the hostel, with tatami floors and sliding doors. It created a unique and authentic atmosphere. the cabin and living area were spacious, providing plenty of room for our group. the kitchen was well stocked, making it easy to prepare meals. the nearby grocery store and cheap restaurants were a plus. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed renting bikes and exploring the area. it was a wonderful place to stay.
Felt like royalty, no complaints at all.

the staff was friendly and welcoming, even remembering us from our previous stay. the location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation and popular tourist sites such as Nijo Castle. the hostel offered 24, hour bike rental , allowing us to explore the city easily. the kitchen and bathrooms were clean and well, equipped, and the beds were comfortable.
The lounge area and reception had kerosene heaters emitting unpleasant odors, which could be improved.

The location of the hostel is quite good, with lots of good cheap restaurants nearby. the man in the reception is nice and talkative, and he proposes you some local places in the neighborhood to go dinner, or have a beer and so on.
The shared bedrooms were cramped, with bunk beds only separated by 5 cm one from the next one.

I stayed at Otro Mundo for a week and it was perfect for my travel purpose. The guest house had a lovely traditional feel with pinewood accents. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially my favorite Japanese princess who went above and beyond. The guest house also had a small kitchen which was convenient, and there was a large grocery store just 50 meters away. The location was great, with easy access to the town center and a nearby onsen. it was a unique and affordable stay.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The beds in the double room were really comfortable, giving us a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring. The staff at the hostel were friendly and helpful, offering us great tips and recommendations for local activities. The location of the hostel was perfect, with easy access to public transportation and close proximity to popular landmarks.
The walls in the hostel were quite thin, which meant that we could hear our neighbors sneezing and even using the bathroom. This lack of soundproofing made it a bit uncomfortable for those who value privacy.
